Art21 is organized as a not for profit trust funded and governed by the represented artists and/or their assigns.

It functions as a repository for the preservation of the  intellectual property of associated writers, photographers, filmmakers, musicians and other artists whose work can be archived primarily in digital format.

Services are offered to ensure the accessibility as well as the physical survival of an artist's body of work.
